HRES PTO Committees

We have many wonderful programs and events planned for this school year. We need parent volunteers to make them happen! Whether you're available during the school day, in the evening or on your own time, there are plenty of opportunities for you to help. Explore the opportunities below and sign up today!

** Important note: In order to volunteer, you must be a registered volunteer with Cabarrus County Schools. You can complete the necessary online registration process here.

General Volunteer

General Volunteers support the needs of all PTO sponsored events by filling in when/where needed. Volunteer opportunities may include bookfair, field day, PBIS, etc.

Sunshine

The Sunshine Committee performs kind deeds throughout the year for the teachers and staff of Hickory Ridge Elementary School. Activities include giving teachers/staff birthday cards and staff motivation.

Spirit Wear

The Spirit Wear committee maintains orders for spirit gear through the HRES PTO online portal and ensures spirit gear is on display for purchase at PTO sponsored events.

Teacher Appreciation Week

The Teacher Appreciation committee plans and facilitates all activities associated with expressing appreciation to teachers and staff at Hickory Ridge Elementary School.

Special Events

The Special Events committee plans and facilitates all PTO sponsored events held on campus at Hickory Ridge Elementary School. Activities include family dances, etc.

Fundraising

The fundraising committee finds, organizes, manages and executes fundraisers that generate money for the Hickory Ridge Elementary School PTO. Examples include assisting with fall and spring fundraisers and organizing fundrsaiser prizes.
